గతంలో ఉన్న అలవాట్లను గురించి చెప్పే దానికి
“used to” ఉపయోగిస్తారు.
అయితే ఈ సెంటెన్స్ ని Passive voice లో చెప్పడానికి ఆ సెంటెన్స్ లో కచ్చితంగా object ఉండాలి.
Used to ఉన్న వాక్యాలను పాసివ్ వాయిస్ లోకి మార్చటానికి be కలిపి used to be గా ఉపయోగిస్తాం ఈ చిన్న మార్పు తప్ప ఇంకేం మార్పు లేదు.
All Object + used to be + verb3+ by + subject
Example: She used to teach me.
ఈ వాక్యమును ప్యాసివ్ వాయిస్ లోకి మార్చుటకు
1.Object అయిన Me తో వాక్యాన్ని ప్రారంభించాలి కానీ అది ప్యాసివ్ వాయిస్ లో I గా మారుతుంది.
2.I సింగులర్ కాబట్టి used to be ఉపయోగిస్తాము.
(Plural కి కూడా used to నే )
3.Teach బదులు మూడవ రూపం taught ఉపయోగిస్తాము
4.By = చేత, మామూలుగా రాస్తాము
5.Subject = she చివరిలో her గా మారుతుంది.

పై వాక్యానికి నెగిటివ్ సెంటెన్స్ రాయుటకు Did not ఉపయోగిస్తాము. ఎందుకంటే Used to గతంలో ఉన్న అలవాట్లను తెలియజేయడానికి ఉపయోగిస్తారు. (past tense)
I did not use to be taught by her. ఈ వాక్యంలో did వచ్చింది కాబట్టి verb మొదటి రూపం use ఉపయోగించాము.
