Present continuous tense
The present continuous tense is used in several cases:
ఒక పని ఎప్పుడు ప్రారంభమైందో మనకి అనవసరం ఎప్పుడు ముగుస్తుందో మనకు అనవసరం కానీ ప్రస్తుతానికి కంటిన్యూషన్ గా ఆగకుండా,మనం మాట్లాడుతున్నప్పుడు జరుగుతూ ఉంటే దాన్ని ఈ Present continuous tense లో తెలియజేస్తారు.

ఈ టెన్స్ లో సబ్జెక్టు ఏదైనా క్రియ మొదటి రూపానికి (V1) ‘ing’ ఫామ్ కలపాలి
v1 + ing = v4 అని కూడా అంటారు.
Examples:
go+ing= going
Come+ing= Coming
Run+ing= Running
ప్రజెంట్ కంటిన్యూస్ టెన్స్ లో వాక్యాలను వ్యతిరేక వాక్యాలుగా మార్చడానికి am, is,are పక్కన Not చేర్చాలి.
Example:
She is reading a book right now. (PS) (ఆమె ప్రస్తుతం పుస్తకం చదువుతూ ఉంది )
పై వాక్యమును నెగిటివ్ సెంటెన్స్ గా మార్చుటకు is ప్రక్కన Not చేర్చాలి.
She is not reading a book right now (NS)
పాజిటివ్ సెంటెన్స్ మరియు నెగటివ్ సెంటెన్స్ రెండింటినీ ప్రశ్న వాక్యాలుగా మార్చుటకు సహాయక క్రియ అయిన is ని సబ్జెక్ట్ అయిన she కి ముందు ఉంచాలి.
Is she reading a book right now? (Interrogative Sentence)
Is she not reading a book right now (NIS) is not = isn’t (Isn’t she reading a book right now అని కూడా చదవవచ్చు.)
1. Actions happening at the moment of speaking:
Describes actions currently in progress
మనం మాట్లాడుతూ ఉన్నప్పుడు, మన కళ్ళ ముందు కంటిన్యూగా జరుగుతూ ఉండేటువంటి పనులను గురించి తెలియజేయడానికి Present continuous tense ని ఉపయోగిస్తారు

| She is not reading a book right now. ( negative) | ఆమె ప్రస్తుతం పుస్తకం చదవడం లేదు.(ఆమె ప్రస్తుతం పుస్తకం చదవడం లేదు. ఆమె ప్రస్తుతం ఒక పుస్తకం చదువుతూ ఉండలేదు. అని దీర్ఘంగా నెగటివ్ లో చెప్పడం ఎబెట్టుగా ఉంటుంది. కాబట్టి సింపుల్ గా ఆమె ఇప్పుడు పుస్తకం చదవడం లేదు అని చెప్పవచ్చు). |

Wh, Questions అంటే ఏమిటి?
who,what,where,when,why,how అను పదాలను ఉపయోగించి ప్రశ్నావ్యాలను తయారు చేయ్యడాన్ని wh questions అంటారు.
who=ఎవరు?, what= ఏమిటి?, where= ఎక్కడ?, when= ఎప్పుడు?, why= ఎందుకు?, how=ఎలా?
కొన్ని వాక్యాలకు Wh పదాలను అన్నిటిని ఉపయోగించి ప్రశ్న వాక్యాలు తయారు చేయడం సాధ్యపడదు.
పైనున్న రెండు వాక్యాలను ప్రశ్నా వాక్యాలుగా మార్చడానికి wh పదాలను తీసుకెళ్లి వాటి ముందు అతికిస్తే సరిపోతుంది.

2. Temporary actions:
Describes actions that are ongoing but temporary.
కొన్ని కార్యక్రమాలు ప్రస్తుతానికి కంటిన్యూగా జరుగుతూ ఉంటాయి కానీ అవి కొన్ని గంటలలో గాని, కొన్ని రోజులలో గాని, కొన్ని వారాలలో గాని, కొన్ని నెలలలో గాని ముగించబడతాయి అటువంటి సందర్భాలలో కూడా ఈ Present continuous tense ని ఉపయోగిస్తారు. ప్రజెంట్ కంటిన్యూస్ టెన్స్ లో పనులు నాన్ స్టాప్ గా జరుగుతూ ఉంటాయి అనే కొండ గుర్తు మనసులో ఉంచుకోండి.
Example: హైలెట్ చేసిన పాజిటివ్ సెంటెన్స్ ని అన్నిటిని మొదట చదవండి.
