Past perfect tense

The Fast Perfect Tense is used to express actions that were completed at a specific time in the past.

Main Meaning:

1.ఇప్పుడే జరిగిపోయిన పనులను Present Perfect Tense లో తెలియజేస్తారు

2.సాధారణంగా గతంలో ఒక నిర్దిష్టమైన సమయంలో జరిగిపోయిన పనులను Simple Past టెన్స్ లో తెలియజేస్తారు.

3. కానీ, గతంలో రెండు పనులు జరిగిపోయి ఉంటాయి. వాటిలో ముందుగా జరిగిన పనిని Past Perfect tense లోను తరువాత జరిగిన పనిని Simple Past లో తెలియజేస్తారు. ఇటువంటి సందర్భంలో మాత్రమే ఈ Past Perfect tense ని ఉపయోగిస్తారు.

Singular sunject లకు మరియు Plural subject లకు అన్నిటికీ కలిపి ‘Had’ సహాయక క్రియ ఉపయోగిస్తారు. Past perfect tense లో verb ఎల్లప్పుడు మూడవ రూపంలోనే (V3) ఉండాలి.

He, She, It, I, We, You, They	Had	V3	Object

నెగిటివ్ సెంటెన్స్ రాయటానికి Had పక్కన Not చేరిస్తే సరిపోతుంది.

1. Finalized Action to Another Previous Action:

To signify that a particular action was finished ahead of another or at a previous time.

గతంలో రెండు పనులు జరిగిపోయి ఉంటాయి. వాటిలో ముందుగా జరిగిన పనిని Past Perfect tense లోను తరువాత జరిగిన పనిని Simple Past లో తెలియజేస్తారు. ఇటువంటి సందర్భంలో మాత్రమే ఈ Past Perfect tense ని ఉపయోగిస్తారు.

Examples : క్రింది సెంటెన్స్ లో విమానం టేక్ ఆఫ్ అవడం అనేది ముందుగా జరిగింది. అందువల్ల Past Perfect tense ఉపయోగించడం జరిగింది. ఆమె విమానాశ్రయానికి చేరుకోవడం అనేది తరువాత జరిగింది కాబట్టి దీనికి Simple Past ఉపయోగించారు

1.By the time she arrived at the airport, the plane had already taken off.	ఆమె విమానాశ్రయానికి చేరుకునే సమయానికి అప్పటికే విమానం టేకాఫ్ అయింది.
By the time she arrived at the airport, the plane had not already taken off.	ఆమె విమానాశ్రయానికి చేరుకునే సమయానికి అప్పటికే విమానం టేకాఫ్ కాలేదు.
Had the plane already taken off by the time she arrived at the airport?	ఆమె విమానాశ్రయానికి చేరుకునే సమయానికి అప్పటికే విమానం టేకాఫ్ అయ్యిందా?.
Had the plane not already taken off by the time she arrived at the airport?	ఆమె విమానాశ్రయానికి చేరుకునే సమయానికి అప్పటికే విమానం టేకాఫ్ కాలేదా.?
2.He had finished his meal before his friends came to the restaurant.	అతని స్నేహితులు రెస్టారెంట్‌కి వచ్చేలోపు అతను భోజనం ముగించాడు.
He had not finished his meal before his friends came to the restaurant.	అతని స్నేహితులు రెస్టారెంట్‌కి వచ్చేలోపు అతను భోజనం ముగించలేదు.
Had he finished his meal before his friends came to the restaurant?	అతని స్నేహితులు రెస్టారెంట్‌కి వచ్చేలోపు అతను భోజనం ముగించాడా?
Had he not finished his meal before his friends came to the restaurant?	అతని స్నేహితులు రెస్టారెంట్‌కి వచ్చేలోపు అతను భోజనం ముగించలేదా?
3.I had already seen that movie before we watched it together.	మేము కలిసి చూడకముందే నేను ఆ సినిమా చూశాను.
I had not already seen that movie before we watched it together.	మేము కలిసి చూడకముందే నేను ఆ సినిమా చూడలేదు.
Had I already seen that movie before we watched it together?	మేము కలిసి చూడకముందే నేను ఆ సినిమా చూశానా?.
Had I not already seen that movie before we watched it together?	మేము కలిసి చూడకముందే నేను ఆ సినిమా చూడలేదా.?
4.She had left for work when the phone rang.	ఫోన్ మోగినప్పుడు ఆమె పని కోసం బయలుదేరింది.
She had not left for work when the phone rang.	ఫోన్ మోగినప్పుడు ఆమె పని కోసం బయలుదేరలేదు.
Had she left for work when the phone rang?	ఫోన్ మోగినప్పుడు ఆమె పని కోసం బయలుదేరిందా.?
Had she not left for work when the phone rang?	ఫోన్ మోగినప్పుడు ఆమె పని కోసం బయలుదేరలేదా.?
5.We had cleaned the house before the guests arrived.	అతిథులు రాకముందే మేము ఇంటిని శుభ్రం చేసాము.
We had not cleaned the house before the guests arrived.	అతిధులు రాకముందే మేము ఇంటిని శుభ్రం చేయలేదు.
Had we cleaned the house before the guests arrived?	అతిథులు రాకముందే మేము ఇంటిని శుభ్రం చేశామా?

6.He had repaired the car before we went on our road trip.	మేము మా రోడ్ ట్రిప్‌కు వెళ్లే ముందు అతను కారును రిపేర్ చేశాడు.

9.She had practiced her speech before the presentation started.	ప్రెజెంటేషన్ ప్రారంభించే ముందు ఆమె తన ప్రసంగాన్ని ప్రాక్టీస్ చేసింది.
She had not practiced her speech before the presentation started.	ప్రదర్శన ప్రారంభించే ముందు ఆమె తన ప్రసంగాన్ని ప్రాక్టీస్ చేయలేదు.
