4  Specific Time References:           

 గతంలో ఒక నిర్దిష్ట సమయంలో సంభవించిన చర్యలు లేదా సంఘటనలను సూచించడానికి, తరచుగా “నిన్న,” “గత వారం,” “2005లో,” మొదలైన సమయ వ్యక్తీకరణలకు కూడా ఈ Simple past tense ని ఉపయోగిస్తారు..

Where, When, Why, How లను  Interrogative, negative interrogative sentence,

ల ముందు ఉంచితే సరిపోతుంది. Who, What లతో ఎక్కువ సందర్భాలలో ప్రశ్న వాక్యాలు సృష్టించడానికి సాధ్యపడదు.  కానీ Who, What లతో సొంతగా ప్రశ్న వ్యాఖ్యలు సృష్టించినాము.

గతంలో జరిగిన కొన్ని కథలను చెప్పటానికి కూడా ఈ Simple past tense ను ఉపయోగిస్తారు.

2.He decided to take the dog  and named him Max.	అతను కుక్కను తీసుకెళ్లాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు మరియు దానికి మాక్స్ అని పేరు పెట్టాడు.(జంతువులు  మగవి అయితే him అని ఆడది అయితే she అని వాక్యాలలో సహజంగా ఉపయోగిస్తారు).

6  Completed Actions with Duration:     

గతంలో కొంత కాలం పాటు కొనసాగి, తరవాత  పూర్తయిన చర్యలను వివరించడానికి కూడా ఈ Simple past tense ని ఉపయోగిస్తారు.

1.She worked at the company for ten years before moving to a new job.	ఆమె కొత్త ఉద్యోగానికి వెళ్లడానికి ముందు పదేళ్లపాటు కంపెనీలో పనిచేసింది.
